Overview:
Open-source cloud computing platform that controls large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources. Started as a joint project between Rackspace and NASA in 2010. Provides Infrastructure-as-a-Service through various complementary services.
Use Case:
Infrastructure as a Service-Platform for sophisticated cloud computing environments, providing Compute, Networking and Storage services. Basically a custom version of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Fine-granular control over the resources available to users.
